FABULOUS BOOTS! I have owned Merrell shoes before, but never the boots. These are super comfortable and give great support. I wear them to walk the dog, play paintball, run errands, etc. Always love slipping them on. Wish they came in black or grey, as well. I always go up a half size in Merrell, plus this way I can wear a thicker sock. :)

cute but painful, May 2, 2010

I work in retail and sell many different brand of hiking boots so I have owned many different brands before. I tend to go for heavier backpacking boots, but I ordered these to add a “light hiker” to my collection. They are light, they are cute, and they definitely do fit true to size. I usually wear 9 or 9.5 in boots so I ordered the 9.5 and they fit fine width and lengthwise. Howeverrrrrr I find the insole that Merrell uses to be completely inadequate. I wore these for 2 days in a row at work and by the end of the second day I was nearly in tears from the pain in the soles of my feet, my knees and back. I will definitely be putting my superfeet insoles into these shoes from now on. I think in the future, I will stick to Keens and Vasques which never let me down in that area.
